Arjuna's Fallacy- slokas 31-46
Chapter 1 - Sloka 40
Kulakshaye pranshyanti kuladharma sanatanah I
Dharme nashte kulam krishnam adharmah abhi bhavati uta II
कुलक्षये प्रणश्यन्ति कुलधर्माः सनातनाः ।
धर्मे नष्टे कुलं कृष्णं अधर्मः अभि भवति उत ।।
In the decline of a family, its time honoured usages perish ; with the perishing of sacred rites impiety overtakes the entire family
Chapter 1 - Sloka 41
adharma abhi bhavat krishna pradushyanti kula striyah I
strishu dushtasu varshaneya jayate varna sankarah II
अधर्म अभि भवात कृष्ण प्रदुष्यन्ति कुल स्त्रियः
स्त्रीषु दुष्टासु वार्षनेय जायते वर्ण संकरः ।।
With the growth of impiety, O Krishna, the family women become unchaste; and women getting corrupted, O Varshaneya, caste admixture ensues.
All these evils which Arjuna foresees would actually come about if the wicked be allowed to thrive in society.
