Atman is immortal - Sloka 12
1 Gita Sloka every day - Chapter 2 - Samkhya Yoga - Sloka 12
Na tu evam Aham jatu na asam na tvam na ime jana adhipah I
Na chaiva na bhavishyamah sarve vayamatah param II sloka 12
न तु एवं अहं जातु न आसं न त्वं न इमे जन अधिपाः ।
न चैव न भविष्यामः सर्वे वयं अतः परम् ।।
Nor I nor you, nor any of these ruling princes was ever non-existent before; nor is it that we shall cease to be in the future.
Bodies appear and disappear
but not so the atman which ever Is. A question may be rasied as to how the atman persists while t
he body perishes? The answer comes in the next sloka.
