Arjuna's Blessed Privilege 47-49
1 Gita Sloka every day - Chapter 11 - Viswarupa Darsana Yoga - Sloka 48
Evam rupah shakyah aham nruloke drushtam tvat anyena kuru pravira II sloka 48
न वेद यज्ञ अधि अयनैः न दानैः न च क्रियाभिः न तपः भिः उग्रैः I
एवं रूपः शक्यः अहं नृलोके द्रुष्टुं त्वत् अन्येन कुरु प्रवीर II श्लोक 48
Neither by the study of vedas, nor by yagnas, nor by gifts, nor by rituals, nor by severe penances, can this form of mine be seen in the world of men by any one else but you, O hero of the kurus.
All the meritorious acts mentioned here are good in themselves. They are all conducive to spiritual growth as well. But in the practice of all of them, egoism prevails to some extent at least. Individualism, however refined it may be, has its own limitations. But when a devotee gives himself over to the Lord and depends on his grace, the reward that comes to him is abundantly great.
