1 Gita Sloka  Every Day - Chapter 18 - Moksha Sanyasa Yoga - Sloka 22

Yat tu krtsnavat ekasmin karye saktam ahaitukam I
Ata tat tva artha vat alpam cha tat tamasam udahrutam II sloka 22
यत् तु क्र्त्स्नवत् एकस्मिन् कार्ये सक्तं अहैतुकम् I
अत तत् तव अर्थ वत् अल्पम् च तत् तामसं उदाहृतं II श्लोक 22

And the knowledge that clings to one single effect as if it were the whole, and is without reason, without foundation in truth, and trivial - that knowledge is tamasika.

That knowledge which is attacched unreasonably, to a single karma or work, of worship of ghosts or evil spirits; which worship yields very insignificant results and is also mean and hate worthy, being connected with ghosts and evil spirits; wrongly thinking that such a worship will give all the desired fruits; without any basis for such wrong thinking; that knowledge which takes a perverse view about things; which thinks that the souls are all different such a knowledge is tamasika.
