1 Gita Sloka  Every Day - Chapter 14 - Gunatraya Vibhaga Yoga - Sloka 26

Mam cha yah avyabhi charena bhakti yogena sevate I
Sa gunan samati itya etan brahma bhuyah kalpate II sloka 26
मां च यः अव्यभि चारेण भक्ति योगेण सेवते I
स गुणान समति इत्य एतान् ब्रह्म भूयः कल्पते II श्लोक 26

And he who serves me with an unswerving devotion, he going beyond the gunas, is fitted for the state of Brahman.

Extreme devotion surges in the heart of the devotee who has made himself over to the Lord. He has nothing but Narayana to congnise both within and without. This intense fervour ends with his becoming worthy of Brahma bhuya  ie., he becomes qualified for the state of Brahman. He attains the self as it really is - immortal and immutable. As darkness disappears when light comes, the three gunas disappear, when the dawn of Brahma gyana takes place.

Is Bhakti the only means to go beyond the gunas? He elucidates further.

Happy Janmashtami ! ! !
